Recognised trade unions should be explicitly embedded in procurement processes

UNISON response

The guidance on socially responsible procurement practices needs strengthening. Clearer, more mandatory language is needed with stronger safeguards to prevent outsourcing practices undermining public services. Recognised trade unions should also be regularly consulted and embedded in procurement processes.
