Social Housing Regulation Bill briefing: report stage 2023

A UNISON briefing that sets out key asks for the bill as it is debated in the House of Commons

We recommend two amendments to be tabled:

  • an amendment that will require senior managers working for social housing landlords to obtain professional qualifications, to help drive up standards in the social housing sector. We ask that you give consideration to tabling an amendment which would; and
  • an amendment to widen the power of the Social Housing Regulator.
