UNISON Cymru is the biggest union in Wales
Our members are people working in public services or for private contractors providing public services and essential utilities. They include frontline staff and managers working full- or part-time in local authorities, the NHS, colleges and schools, universities, the electricity, gas and water industries, police services, transport and in the voluntary sector.
Across the region, our members are facing threats to their terms and conditions, pay and pensions because of government public sector cuts. UNISON is mounting a concerted campaign to defend our members’ rights at work. As well as defending public services and fighting the government’s cuts to public services, our priorities are campaigning for a living wage and regional weighting
As the leading public sector union in Cymru, we guide the way in the campaign to defend Welsh public services and public service workers. Building the anti-cuts movement throughout Wales is at the heart of our work as a union.
We continue to work with the Welsh government and other key organisations to protect Welsh public services and jobs. Our strength in Wales is due to the dedication and drive of our lay activists and branch officers, working in partnership with regional staff.
Together, we are the guardians of Welsh public services.
Labour Link – Senedd campaigning
We promote UNISON policy and strengthen UNISON’s voice within Welsh politics at Cardiff Bay
