University merger must protect jobs, pay and conditions for staff, says UNISON

Commenting on the announcement today (Thursday) of a proposed merger between Cranfield University and Kings College London, UNISON London regional organiser Ezequiel Kramer said:

“This plan raises serious questions and concerns, particularly in light of Cranfield University’s recently reported financial difficulties.

“The union’s priority is to ensure any proposed merger protects jobs, safeguards staff conditions and provides employees with a clear timeline for any changes.

“UNISON will continue to meet regularly with the management at Kings and remains fully committed to defending the jobs, pay and working conditions of staff throughout this process.”
