Hospital parking – a charge too far
UNISON want to see parking charges abolished for all staff working in the NHS
Parking should be free
Until the pandemic struck, sites in England, Northern Ireland and three sites in Scotland were charging staff to park at work. But, during COVID-19, hospital parking became free for NHS health and social care staff.
This charge has been unfairly reintroduced over time - UNISON want to see parking charges abolished for all staff working in the NHS.
UNISON branches are winning the fight
The cost of parking at Lincoln County Hospital, Grantham and District Hospital, Pilgrim Hospital Boston and County Hospital Louth was halved from April 2020, after a year-long campaign by UNISON, saving staff as much as £150 a year.
