General secretary nomination
UNISON Eastern’s regional council met today to agree who to nominate in the union’s general secretary election.
All candidates who had declared at the time of the meeting were given the opportunity to address regional council delegates and answer questions.
Regional council members then voted:
- George Barber: 0 Votes
- Andrea Egan: 20 votes
- Christina McAnea: 45 votes
Therefore UNISON Eastern region nominates Christina McAnea.
