Supporting Prides across the South East for UNISON’s Year of LGBT+ Workers

As we get closer to summer, we enter Pride season – in UNISON’s Year of LGBT+ Workers, celebrating at our regional events will be more important than ever before. Prides reflect the diversity of the South East, and offer an opportunity to bring UNISON’s equality work directly to the community.

We are proud to note that UNISON South East’s LGBT+ committee will be supporting the following events:

Chipping Norton PrideSat 1 June
Brighton Trans PrideSat 20 July
Isle of Wight PrideSat 20 July
Margate Black PrideSat 6 July
Herne Bay PrideSun 25 August

We will be out in numbers at all of these events, so please come and join us if you can.

If you would like to get involved, support our work, and join UNISON at any of the above events, please email UNISON South East LGBT+ committee secretary Clare Boorman for more details.

The regional LGBT+ self organised group is unable to sponsor every Pride in the region, but we encourage UNISON branches and activists to get involved and attend their local Prides.

Here’s when some of the major events around the South East will be taking place in 2024.
