Affordable housing and the impact on recruitment and retention of key workers
UNISON has commissioned research into the housing issues facing workers across public services in the UK
Date posted:

UNISON’s research will explore the link between housing and the recruitment and retention of workers.
It will seek to understand the barriers and opportunities for the development of genuinely affordable housing, especially council housing, which could be prioritised for key workers.
The study will also gather good practice examples of councils who have been able to build quality council homes across the country.
UNISON is encouraging branches to take part in the study; and if you are working for a public sector body that has a proud record on innovation in housing delivery, particularly for the workforce and ‘key-workers’ we would also like to hear from you.

UNISON will share the research once it is published.
