Workplace pensions
Your pension scheme administrator has access to information about your individual pension record and entitlement. They should provide you with an annual statement and be able to respond to any specific queries that you have.
Your employer would be able to provide you with contact details for your pension administrator.
If you are in a defined contribution saving arrangement your scheme administrator might be an external organisation such as NEST or Legal & General or Scottish Widows.
Local Government Pension Scheme
The LGPS is administered by local government pension funds. Often the administrator will be the local authority, but sometimes administration for several areas is combined in one authority and/or the administrative function is provided by an external organisation.
If you do not know which pension fund you are in, you could ask your employer or you can find a list of funds in the links below.
There is one fund for Northern Ireland and administration is performed by NILGOSC:
NHS Pension Scheme
If you are in the NHS pension scheme your scheme administrator in England & Wales is NHS Pensions (sometimes referred to as the NHSBSA).

You can check your eligibility to the state pension on the Government website.
There is also a government webpage where you can check your state pension age.
Pension queries for the union
If you wish to explore your individual workplace pension entitlement and options, it is best to start with the administrators of your own scheme who have access to your figures.
If you have a pension query for the union, please complete this pensions enquiry form, including your membership number and what workplace pension scheme you are in.
We normally aim to respond by email within 5-10 working days.
