Introduction to Dyslexia - Union Learning Rep Development Session
The session will explore what Dyslexia is, including the strengths and challenges that individuals may experience. It will also introduce practical approaches to help you provide effective support and enable learners to achieve their full potential.
This session is part of a series of webinars for Union Learning Reps (ULRs) who have completed Stage 1 training. It will be particularly useful for those actively promoting and delivering lifelong learning and development activities in their branch, as well as newly trained ULRs preparing to deliver their first learning events.
Heading
By the end of this session, participants will have a deeper knowledge and understanding of:
- Dyslexia and the nature of both the strengths and difficulties that may be experienced by a Dyslexic person.
- The fundamental approaches required when providing Dyslexia support to an individual.
As a ULR, it is important to ensure your learning and development offer promotes equality and is inclusive and accessible to all members. This session will help you begin to consider how to support learners who may need additional help, particularly those with Dyslexia.
