Working internationally
UNISON has a responsibility to defend human and trade union rights wherever they are under attack
We fight internationally for public services
UNISON works with sister unions and global union federations to fight for public services, defend human rights and sustain our environment. We do this because everyone deserves dignity and equality at work.
We work in solidarity with fellow unionists around the world, many of whom face direct threats to their rights and even their safety.
We campaign on the key issues that impact the lives of all working people, including the actions of governments and corporations, austerity, inequality, and the privatisation of public services. Many of our members and activists get involved by connecting with union members in other countries.
Learning from our sister unions internationally is a vital way to strengthen our work and support workers in different parts of the world who face similar challenges to our own.
