A track record of progress
- UNISON led the negotiations that won better pay for paramedics by ensuring that they got moved from Band 5 to Band 6.
- We support your health and wellbeing at work including tackling issues around sexual safety at work and improving ambulance workplace cultures.
- Ensuring you’re paid at the right band for the job you do, which includes successful rebanding campaigns for emergency care assistants.
- Raising the profile of ambulance workers in the national media, including highlighting issues such as high turnover rates in call centres and the ever-increasing violence and aggression staff are having to face.
- Access to our professional services unit, who handle representation cases for paramedics, student paramedics and other regulated roles, from start to finish.
