The campaign fund

The campaign fund gives UNISON members a political voice that is independent of any political party

What is the campaign fund?

The small contributions that hundreds of thousands of UNISON members make to the campaign fund are used to support member campaigns and give a boost to UNISON’s strategic political priorities. These include UNISON’s campaigns to defend and promote public services, support the union’s equalities agenda and stand up to the far right.

Apply for funding

Branches can bid directly for funding up to a value of £5,000 to support local campaigns. These might be campaigns against public service cuts and outsourcing or campaigns to bring local services back in house. Regions consider bids from branches. A national campaign fund committee, made up of 12 members of the national executive council, receives all bids.

More information can be found in the guidelines.
